Description: Families are eligible to enroll prenatally and up to 90 days after their baby’s date of birth. In addition to ongoing family support to link families with community services the family may need and are eligible to receive, Healthy Families Support Specialists do development assessments of infant and toddler growth and development while the family is actively enrolled in Healthy Families. Family Support Specialists keep parents inform about home and environmental safety issues related to the care of their child. Family Support Specialists take parenting information, child development curriculum, as well as ideas, and activities for stimulating positive parent and child interaction.
