(formerly La Paz de Cristo Social Ministry) is a community, not-for-profit agency that serves the Spanish-speaking residents of Jackson and surrounding counties with interpretation, translation, and referrals to existing resources. Southern Indiana Hispanic Services, Inc. assists to overcome the challenges posed by language and cultural barriers by informing, orienting, and educating immigrants and new residents as well as the local business, civic, social, and religious establishments and serves to produce an environment of mutual respect and understanding. Southern Indiana Hispanic Services, Inc. helps Latinos in any area where language is a barrier.
