Purpose: The Muscatatuck Wildlife Society (MWS), a non-profit “friends” group, was established in 1989 to support the educational and conservation objectives of the refuge. The group maintains a nature bookstore in the visitor center (one of the best in the state) with all proceeds going to refuge projects.
