Nursing:
Child & Adult immunizations, TB testing, school health nursing, HIV, HEP C & STD testing, communicable disease follow-up and flu clinics. Health education.
Public Health Educator-Coordinator:
Health education, preparedness coordination & planning, smoking cessation program featuring free classes and free nicotine replacement therapy. Speakers available for area groups.
C.A.R.E.S. Clinic:
Harm Reduction clinic to reach and support the drug addicted members and family members of the community. Offering education, referrals, testing and supplies to impact the spread of disease related to drug use. Hours-Thursdays 5:30-7:30 pm at the Health Department.

Program Information
Description: Children's Immunization Clinic is on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday by appointment. DTaP,IPV, HIB, MMR, Hepatitis B,and Prevnar vaccinations are given to infants as scheduled by the Indiana Department of Health. We administer second MMR's to children entering middle school,Tetanus (upon availability), adult Hepatitis A & B,TB testing, pregnancy testing,pre-marital certificates for proof of Rubella,Flu & Pneumonia shots (seasonal). Prenatal clinic for low-income women. Need to schedule an appointment. Home visits can be made by referrals for all ages. School nursing is done at Crothersville, Medora and St. John's. Immunization clinic is by appointment. DPT, oral polio, HIB, MMR, Hepatitis B and Prevnar. Vital Records Division is available to process birth and death certificates Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm. Environmental Division inspects Jackson County food establishments, permits and inspects septic installations and inspects housing complaints.
