Program Information

Description: The library lends books, magazines, music CDs, videos, DVD's, CD-ROM's and AV equipment. We provide reference assistance and participate in interlibrary loan for materials unavailable in the library system. We conduct children's and adult programs, including a summer reading program for all ages. All libraries offer high-speed Internet access and productivity software on public computers. We also have a volunteer program for interested people age 13 and over.

Location: Our main library is located in Seymour at the corner of Walnut and 2nd. We operate a Bookmobile, which provides homebound & county jail service, and branch libraries in Crothersville and Medora.

Cost: Library cards are free for all who reside in or own property in Jackson County (excluding those who live in Brownstown, Driftwood, and Grassy Fork Townships). Those who hold a valid library card in Bartholomew County may also receive a free library card. Others may be eligible to purchase a library card. Please call for details.
