Name: Indiana Governor Michael R Pence

Purpose: The Governor is the state's chief executive. Like the president, the governor is empowered to appoint & remove personnel in administrative departments, grant reprieves and pardons, convene the legislature in special session, veto legislation, serve as chairman of various boards & activities, & be the honorary head of a political party.
