Purpose: The Parks & Recreation department maintains the parks in the city: Freeman Field, Gaiser, Kasting Youth Complex, Kessler, Steinker Platz and West Side. The Parks & Recreation Office organizes leagues for the various sports and schedules reserved areas & shelter houses for picnics and reunions. The Parks & Recreation Department administers the Area 11 Agency on Aging program and the Senior Citizen Bus used by that program. Persons wishing to rent the Seymour Community Center or reserve One Chamber Square for an activity should contact the Parks & Recreation Department.
