Agency Information

Name: Jackson County Drug Free Council

Category: Social Services

Purpose: The Jackson County Drug-Free Council is comprised of community volunteers interested in alcohol, tobacco, and other drug abuse (ATOD) issues who annually develop a comprehensive plan to reduce use in Jackson County. Grants are awarded annually from fees collected on DUI and drug possession charges which are used for prevention/education, intervention/treatment, and law enforcement/judicial programs or activities. Monthly meetings are held to continually educate those interested in ATOD issues and share current information or concerns. Public is always welcome.
