Purpose: The lieutenant governor assumes the powers & the duties of the governor in the event of the governor's death, resignation, or inability to function in the office. The Lieutenant governor presides over the Indiana Senate, is commissioner of agriculture, is executive director of the Department of Commerce, & holds other duties relating to administrative & legislative functions.
Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday, except State Holidays 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. during legislative session.
