Purpose: The Governor is the state's chief executive. Like the president, the governor is empowered to appoint & remove personnel in administrative departments, grant reprieves, and pardons, convene the legislature in special session, veto legislation, serve as chairman of various boards & activities, & be the honorary head of a political party.
Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday, except State Holidays 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. during legislative session
